Development, Advantages and Disadvantages of Domestic Jet Mill

Jet mill is an equipment that crush materials under the action of high-speed air flow through the impact between particles, the impact and shear of air flow on materials, and the impact, friction and shear of materials and other parts. Although the jet mill has obvious advantages, it also has shortcomings. For example, it has many auxiliary equipment and its cost is high. Besides, dumping phenomenon will occur when the crushing system is blocked, then a large amount of dust will be spayed out and deteriorate the operating environment; what’s more, materials to be crushed have limitations, such as materials with more oil, water and fiber are not easy to be crushed.
It is understood that after 20 years of development, Chinese jet mill machinery industry has a very large market scale, which is involved in pharmaceuticals, chemicals and some other fields. However, from the overall level of the industry, our country’s jet mill technology is relatively backward compared with foreign countries, and its development is subject to certain constraints.
According to some relevant experts, domestic jet mill R&D enterprises are facing with over 90% overcapacity at present. Therefore, the sustainable of the jet mill industry needs to comprehensively consider many factors, to get rid of the problems of loud noise, limitation of materials, slow crushing speed, low efficiency, etc, and to develop a crusher that meets the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, and conquer the market with products with high technical content.
With the improvement of equipment structure and pulverization technology, the defects of domestic jet pulverizers are gradually being overcome in the process of large-scale and automatic exploration of devices.
It is reported that a pulverizer company has developed a new type of combined jet pulverization equipment, which has better performance than traditional jet mill and mechanical pulverization, with characteristics of low energy consumption, short process flow, small footprint, no dust pollution, low heat generation, fine particle size of final products, wide crushing range, unlimited moisture content of materials, unlimited feeding particle size, etc., and can replace imported equipment.
