One of our customers in India purchased a system of ball mill combined with a classifier from us. The technical requirements were as follows:
Raw Material: Dolomite
Feed Size: 2-3mm
Product Fineness: D50≤5-30μm    D97≤40μm
Product Capacity: 5t/h
The customer could not obtain the end product with even particle size distribution by the existing ball mill he had, and he needed a classifier. We did some classifying experiments for him and made analyses of particle size distribution. Our customer was very satisfied with the particle size report and placed the purchase order from us.
At present, the most common application of calcium carbonate is in the plastic industry. It can be a modifier, reinforcing agent, and semi-reinforcing agent for plastics based on its unique properties. The properties of small particle size and good dispersibility of ultrafine calcium carbonate powder can reduce the pores and voids in the plastic and make the mixing and shrinkage of the plastic more uniform, so it can be filled in the polymerization of polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, aldehyde, phenolic plastic, etc., increasing the dimensional stability, hardness, and rigidity of plastic products.
