  1. Working Principle of Jet Mill
 
The compressed air is injected into the crushing chamber through the nozzle to form a supersonic air flow after being cooled, filtered, and dried to fluidze the materials. In the crushing chamber, the accelerated materials converge at the intersection of the jet air flow from several nozzles, resulting in severe collision, friction, and shear to achieve the superfine crushing of particles.
 
The crushed materials are conveyed to the classification area of the classification wheel by the rising air flow. Under the action of the centrifugal force of the classification wheel and the suction force of the fan, the separation of coarse and fine powder is realized. The coarse powder returns to the crushing chamber according to its own gravity to continue crushing, the qualified fine powder enters the cyclone collector with the air flow, the fine dust is collected by the bag type dust collector, and the purified gas is discharged by the induced draft fan.
 
  1. Advantages, Characteristics, and Precautions of Jet Mill:
 
⑴The performance characteristics of the jet mill mainly include the following:
①There is a vertical classifying device inside, which can adjust the particle size of the product. The crushed particle size is good and the particle size distribution is relatively narrow.
②It can be used in series with multi-stage classifiers so that multiple particle size segments can be formed at the same time.
③The equipment is very convenient to disassemble and assemble, and it is easy to clean. There is no dead corner on the inner wall, so it can be cleaned thoroughly.
④It operates in a closed state under negative pressure, which is conducive to low operating noise and reduces the generation of dust, which is environmental-friendly and pollution-free.
⑤The control system is easy to operate and the equipment runs safely and reliably. It can be designed as intelligent control such as one-key start-stop and real-time operating status monitoring.
 
⑵Precautions for daily maintenance of jet mill:
①During the production process, the bearing temperature rise of the jet mill must be checked frequently. When the temperature rise exceeds 50℃, the machine shall be shut down for inspection to find out the cause and eliminate the fault.
②When the jet mill is running, the transmission belt is easy to stretch. Pay attention to adjusting the appropriate tightness of the belt to ensure its working life.
③Vulnerable parts shall be inspected frequently and replaced in time to ensure product quality and production.
④The blade and lining ring shall be regularly checked for wear and shall be replaced immediately if the productivity decreases and the particle size becomes coarse after wear.
⑤The grease replacement period of the jet mill bearing is 2000 hours, and the filling amount of grease is 1/2 (upper measurement) or 3/4 (lower measurement) of the space in the bearing cavity. Do not overfill the grease or it will cause the bearing to overheat.
